Time is of the essence when student's only have art once a week for 50 minutes. In order to make sure we reach our daily learning objective we keep a tight schedule in the art studio. In order to respect the student's time and the teacher's planning periods we keep an effective alarm system on the Ipad.
The ten minute timer allows for clean up procedures and for end of class "closure" where we do our assessment of the period. This is part of the the Art Guard's job to keep us on track and is the only person in charge of turning of the alarm on the Ipad. We also have a 1 minute alarm that lets us know we should already be in the Fine Arts Hallway.
