What a great honor it is to have the most amazing friends in our very own community. Last year I requested some help with office supplies to help keep the art room organized. Many friends suggested that I make a Amazon Wish list and it was such a success that I did it again this year. Most teacher use their own resources to purchase items that will make their classroom run smoothly and I am constantly investing in my students. My first year teaching I easily spent $5000 in school/office supplies but glad to say that I have cut down to $1000 which now go towards the end of year Art Award Ceremony.
I have a long list of people that have contributed to making our Art Studio start off on the right foot.
Rebecca Planchard was the first to contribute with folders, labels
Clarrisa Andrade Silva and Jacob contributed Expo markers, variety of ziplock bags, masking tape and pencils.
Michelle Cortez Gonzales contributed Kleenex tissues and universe pencils.
Amanda Arizola contributed a gazillion labels, a Claude Monet book by Laurence Anhold, Matisse The King of Color and My Name is Georgia book and two sets of universe stickers and pencils.
Sandra Garcia contributed with money to purchase 3 large baskets to store white boards, a huge hand santizer, 9 blue baskets for supplies and two signs for stations.
Francis America Diaz-Rojas contributed with the purchase of a printer cart and a set of 30 white boards with markers and erasers included.
Georgia Phillips Viertel contributed with a huge box of baby wipes to help keep our hands and tables clean.
Chris Lopez contributed with a set of whiteboards with markers to complete a class set.
I like to give a big, huge "Thank you" to my friends that replied to the call and stepped up. Thank you for showing support and most importantly that you care. I am absolutely grateful to all of you from the bottom of my heart.
